Jan Garrett is married to famous Mennonite musician Jerry Derstine and country/pop award-winning songwriter JD Martin. Both at the same time. This makes life very spicey as they move through a variety of worlds together. Plus she herself has been a professional musician, jazz singer, recording artist,and songwriter for an impressive (and undisclosed) number of years. She has toured with John Denver, Steve Martin, and The Dirt Band, and has appeared on the Tonight Show. Wow. The mother of identical twin daughters and a meditation student for over 30 years, she calls herself a wild-ass visionary, a blithe spirit who loves the wilderness and feels most at home in the natural world.
