Rendezvous

Marlyce (Martens) Gundy and Sharon (Sawatsky) Schermbrucker began singing classical and folk duets in their teens. After a long hiatus, they reunited to form the chamber group Beauty in the Blends, which has performed across the U.S. and Canada. Meanwhile, Marlyce married Jeff Gundy, and they played and sang folk music as a duo.

As the folk trio Rendezvous, Marlyce, Sharon, and Jeff now bring their close harmonies to tunes by Kate Wolf, the Wailin Jennys, Dave Carter, Old Crow Medicine Show, and others, with all three on vocals and Jeff on 6- and 12-string guitar.

Jan Garrett

http://www.JanGarrett.com/

Jan Garrett is married to famous Mennonite musician Jerry Derstine and country/pop award-winning songwriter JD Martin. Both at the same time. This makes life very spicey as they move through a variety of worlds together. Plus she herself has been a professional musician, jazz singer, recording artist, and songwriter for an impressive (and undisclosed) number of years. She has toured with John Denver, Steve Martin, and The Dirt Band, and has appeared on the Tonight Show. Wow. The mother of identical twin daughters and a meditation student for over 30 years, she calls herself a wild-ass visionary, a blithe spirit who loves the wilderness and feels most at home in the natural world. She believes that the "The chance of a lifetime is to be yourself."

At home with JD in the mountains of Colorado, Jan teaches piano-by-ear and leads workshops and women's retreats on Authentic Voice. She writes the kind of songs she needs to hear, music that her well-paid publicist says is "rich and intelligent, as satisfying to the soul as it is to the ear......a gourmet blend of brilliant and inspiring lyrics, luscious vocals, piano, and good humor." Perhaps you would like to hire her publicist.
