Rendezvous
Marlyce (Martens) Gundy and Sharon (Sawatsky) Schermbrucker began singing classical and folk duets in their teens. After a long hiatus, they reunited to form the chamber group Beauty in the Blends, which has performed across the U.S. and Canada. Meanwhile, Marlyce married Jeff Gundy, and they played and sang folk music as a duo.
As the folk trio Rendezvous, Marlyce, Sharon, and Jeff now bring their close harmonies to tunes by Kate Wolf, the Wailin Jennys, Dave Carter, Old Crow Medicine Show, and others, with all three on vocals and Jeff on 6- and 12-string guitar.

Over the Rhine |
Over the Rhine borrowed their name from one of Cincinnati's most colorful and controversial neighborhoods. It's here that Karin Bergquist and Linford Detweiler first began making their music, somehow imbuing it with the tattered but lovely craftsmanship and sense of history that surrounded them. For their tenth album, DRUNKARD'S PRAYER, Over the Rhine re-immerse themselves in profoundly deep waters, opening the floodgates of their personal relationship. A relaxed, emotionally vulnerable record made in their living room, the album showcases the sonic warmth that can come from recording at home.
UNCUT (UK) "...feels much like a renewal of vows. The vocals of Karin Bergquist add a rich sophistication to piano-led chamber ballads and jazz-inflected folk." |

Scott Pryor |
Scott Pryor is an eclectic performing songwriter who willingly follows his muse through territories of pop, rock and jazz, all while staying firmly rooted in his first love: folk. His songs are imaginative, his arrangements often adventurous, and his guitar playing elegant. His greatest strength, however, are his lyrics, which tell stories that ultimately invite the listener into a deeper understanding of the awesome depth and breadth of our humanity. |
